The young menswear label aims to conquer the male fashion arena of 25-35 year olds with a premium collection inspired by the ‘Modern Hunter’ favouring the ideology that the Buck epitomises the ‘Ultra Alpha Male’.
“In a world where the ‘Hunter’ has evolved, he is no longer content with shooting down game and foul, the ‘Hunter’ gleefully adopts the playing fields of the big city bars and clubs fending off his rivals. The ‘Alpha Male’ hopes to fulfil his urges without denting his honourable reputation.”
The collection due to launch in early Spring 2013 takes inspiration from key elements and details that embodies the classic hunters ensemble, cleverly mixing with a modern day gentleman, keeping the collection young, fresh and appealing, using premium world-first fabrics throughout which have been sourced and developed from the most reputable mills from across Europe and Japan.
The collection offers the male consumer apparel, such as shirting, t-shirts, sweats and knitwear all incorporating reflective details such as game pockets, pouches, concealed bullet holders and ‘D’ rings, all cleverly identified as elements of a hunting aesthetic, skilfully tailored to give a high level of fit. On the shirting in particular a key detail is the last button being bound by orange thread intending to give warning or assure prey to safety. It is the small attention to detail that sets Bucks & Co apart in the marketplace.
Denims are also a major feature for the label, as Bucks and Co introduce three fits:
The Fox: The slim skinny fit, for the gentleman cool enough to pull off the look.
Game: The tapered leg for the trend setter
Hound: The classic low rise comfortable fit, for the more relaxed gentleman.
Each Bucks & Co denim has been expertly crafted to create a stand-out look emulating quality and style, with a leather back label roughly finished, as though it had been seemingly cut with a blunt knife straight from the Bucks hide. Back pocket embroidery with triple swoosh’s pays homage to those very same Bucks colossal antlers.
Hussain Suleman, Brand Manager for ‘Bucks and Co’ commented on why he feels there is definite gap in the market for this type of brand, and why SS13 is set be a big year for Bucks & Co:
“There is nothing quite like Bucks & Co currently available to the modern day man. The SS13 collection is a hybrid of trend led shapes and independently developed fabrics with traditional hunting details providing a chic alternative for the modernist hunter, who is sharp, sophisticated & has the desire to dress impeccably well, all the while craving practicality from every garment he wears enabling the living and loving of his carefree lifestyle. We have achieved this practicality by incorporating an ingenious use of discrete hunteresque detail whilst ensuring the shape and fit is not compromised. SS13 has just become the Bucks playing field” – Hussain Suleman, Bucks & Co Brand Manager.
Additional products in the collection are the iconic Japanese Selvedge blazer, which has been masterfully crafted.
The collection will be available to buy from stockists and online from early SS13.
